We partnered with St. Martin of Tours School to bring a full-scale carnival game experience to their annual Fall Festival, welcoming 1,000+ guests over a seven-hour event (11am–7pm). As the event’s exclusive carnival game vendor, we delivered a high-throughput lineup of five carnival games plus a digital caricatures booth, creating a lively, family-friendly destination that kept students, parents, and community members engaged throughout the day. The experience was designed to feel premium and exciting — complete with high-quality plush prizes, themed giveaways, and grand prize moments for adventurous players who chose to go double or nothing for a chance to win even bigger.
The festival also served as a strong example of how carnival games can power school fundraising. Sponsors helped fund the game experience, while the school managed ticket sales and distributed play tickets to guests, creating a simple and scalable system for participation. With consistent lines, repeat play, and a prize structure that encouraged guests to keep trying, the games became a reliable revenue engine — and by the end of the day, the school successfully turned a profit while delivering an unforgettable event for the community.

Case Study
Six-Game Carnival
For St. Martin of Tours’ Fall Festival, we curated a six-booth game lineup designed to match the full carnival scale of the event — because for true carnivals and festivals, we typically recommend 6+ games to create variety, keep lines balanced, and make the experience feel expansive.
The selection blended high-throughput classics with playful crowd favorites, including Squirrel Throwing, Donkey Darts, The Dump Truck, Hot Dog Fishing, and Pickle Toss, plus a sixth booth featuring digital caricatures for guests who wanted a take-home keepsake. Together, the mix delivered a high-energy “midway” feel, encouraged repeat play, and ensured there was always something fun happening across the grounds.
School Fundraiser
The Fall Festival was built as a school fundraiser, with sponsors underwriting the games and the school selling play tickets to families and community members. With steady lines and repeat play all day, the event generated strong revenue — and the school finished the festival in the black.
Features & Add-Ons
The rentals came with full-service support from Something New as a carnival game vendor, turning the setup into a seamless, end-to-end experience.

Expert Facilitators
Friendly, high-energy facilitators kept the games moving, explained rules fast, and hyped up players to create a lively, welcoming experience.

Digital Caricatures
The digital caricatures booth gave guests a personalized, take-home souvenir — a fun, modern twist that added variety beyond traditional carnival games.

Premium Prizes
Premium prizes—themed plushies and XL grand prizes—raised the stakes and boosted participation by giving winners something genuinely exciting to take home.

Why it Worked
This activation succeeded because it matched the scale and theme of a true school carnival. With six booths total, the game mix felt like a real midway — not a single attraction — giving guests plenty of variety, spreading crowds evenly, and keeping lines moving throughout the day. Just as importantly, the games themselves were designed to be fast, intuitive, and addictive, creating that “one more try” energy that satisfied players while driving repeat participation. The result was a win-win: guests stayed engaged for hours, and the school benefitted from steady ticket redemption that translated into real fundraising impact and revenue.
