• This contest is for amateurs. It's all for fun. Sorry, Joey Chestnut.

• Contestants get free entry to our Oscars Watch Party from 3-7pm at Creature Comforts Brewing Co. in DTLA.

  • Fan clubs get a discount too! Each contestant will get a discount code to give to friends & family.

• The Hot Dog Eating Contest will take place during a commercial break about halfway through the Oscars Watch Party. Most hot dogs eaten during the commercial break (est. 2 minutes) wins.​

• Rules:​

  • We're eating the hot dogs in the bun, like human beings. Don't dunk, don't separate the dog from the bun, or use utensils!

  • You will be allowed to drink water.

  • We won't provide condiments, but contestants can bring their own to dress as they'd like.

  • Partial hot dogs count!

  • Ties are broken with a sudden-death eat-off during the next commercial break.

• Winner earns an Oscars-style trophy for "Best Hot Dog Eater," plus freebies from Something New & a gift card courtesy of Creature Comforts. (Plus bragging rights, of course.)

• Prior to competing, contestants will be required to sign a standard liability waiver releasing Something New and the venue from all responsibility related to participation in the competition.
